Directorate of Evangelism & Discipleship

To re-awaken her evangelical heritage and return to pursuit of Scriptural holiness, the Methodist Church Nigeria adopted a repositioning process which established the Directorate of Evangelism and Discipleship in 2006 with the appointment of a Bishop as the head.  Dr Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha was the pioneer Bishop in Charge of the Directorate and was succeeded by Edoka Amuta in 2012.  Evangelism and Discipleship, therefore, have been at the front burner of the Church’s pursuit and Rt. Rev Prof. Samuel Sunday Obeka, JP succeeded Bishop Edoka Amuta 2018 put till date.

MANDATE
•    To Preach Evangelical message with invitation to faith in Christ and a call to rededication of lives to God -Acts 2:36-39.
•    Teaching and openness to the power of the Holy Spirit for evangelism and discipleship lifestyle -Acts 1:8.
•    To spread Scriptural holiness across the land.

•    Coordinating the arms of the Church such as Women’s Work, Youth Work and Men’s Work
•    Promotes development of Church Music
