Office of the Prelate


The Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria is the Ecclesiastical, priestly, pastoral and administrative Head of the Church. He is the principal representative and spokesperson of Methodist Church Nigeria. He exercises pastoral and spiritual oversight over the whole Church. He ensures preservation of peace and order for the proper execution of the Methodist discipline.


The current Prelate, His Eminence, Dr. Oliver Ali Abah was elected into office in 2022 by the Electoral College of the Church.
